MercyMe Tour Bus Involved In Auto Accident

MercyMe rescheduled a stop on their current tour after the band’s tour bus was in an accident with a car. The accident claimed the lives of a male and female passenger and the driver’s unborn baby in the car. No band members reported any injuries.
The band was in Fort Wayne, Indiana for a Friday night show at Parkview Field. At approximately 1:15 AM Saturday morning , after going through a green light, the tour bus struck a car that made a left turn in front of them. MercyMe was headed for St. Louis for a concert at Six Flags when the accident occurred.
The band has made a statement (below) expressing their heartache concerning the events that have taken place.

Following the accident earlier this morning involving their tour bus, MercyMe gave the following statement:
“MercyMe would like to express their incredible heartache over this horrible accident. They are praying for the families of all who this will affect, and are asking others to please pray as well. The band and crew sustained minor bumps and bruises, however their hearts are heavy. They appreciate the concern they have received from people all over the world.”
